From the streets of Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, AHMIR is the premiere, up and coming male R&B group with a rapidly growing national and global fan base. "They-re Next" is the fitting title Billboard magazine labelled this R&B foursome in their featured article detailing their rising success. With influences ranging from Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Carl Thomas, Donny Hathaway, Jagged Edge, and D-Angelo, AHMIR brings urban and classic R&B sounds together to reflect the wide range of feelings and emotions we all experience. First formed in 2002, the members of AHMIR consist of "Sing-Sing", "Big Mike", "Mr. Jones" and "KC".
Tanto Metro and Devonte recorded the track with the group in Boston while taking a break from their recording schedule in Jamaica. In addition to recording for producers Sly and Robbie, Jam 2 and Free Willy, the pair is also heavily promoting their solo and collaborative releases.
Tanto Metro is travelling with movie star turned artiste Leon, promoting I Second That Emotion is a cover of Smokey Robinson & The Miracle-s 1967 hit. Devonte assumed the role of producer for Rain, a remake of the Eurhythmics hit for his own Dimmie Joe Muzik Label.
Expanding on his producer role, Devonte is also working with upcoming artiste Dan Lou.
"Whenever we are not on the road, we are in the studio. Whenever we are not in the studio, we are out performing," asserts Devonte, "Music is our life". With their life mission clearly defined and a collection of singles at radio, listen out for Tanto Metro and Devonte.
