A Memorial Weekend To Remember

Tanto Metro and Devonte have confirmed that they are very happy with the first leg of their anniversary tour, as the response from their fans has been overwhelming. The next stop for The Dynamic Duo will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 23rd. Click Here to view poster . Tanto and Devonte are looking forward to performing for their fans in Minneapolis who have been waiting a long time to see them perform. The last time the duo tore that city apart was in early 2000 so the anticipation to see the duo is immeasurable.

The Duo are also scheduled to perform at the UCLA Jazz Reggae Festival 09, along with the likes of Erykah Badu, De La Soul, Leela James, Mavado, Assassin, Cherine Anderson and many more. The event is a two day festival to be held in California during The Memorial Weekend. They will perform on the second day of the festival entitled Reggae Day. Tanto Metro and Devonte have stated that they are very honored to be a part of such a worthy cause to help raise awareness about the environment and are very eager to perform for their thousands of UCLA fans that will be attending the event.

The Annual Jazz Reggae Festival at UCLA, a student-run festival, has attracted an average of 30,000 attendees annually over the past six years. This year’s theme, "A Culture of Change", will be incorporated into all aspects of the show. With this in mind, the festival’s team has continued their efforts in making all aspects of the festival as eco-friendly as possible.

The Dynamic Duo Performed at the "Mothers' Day Old School Bash" In St Croix

Tanto Metro and Devonte performed to a packed house last Saturday at the Mothers' Day Old School Bash, on the Randall "Doc James" Racetrack in St Croix. The Dynamic Duo of Dancehall rocked the crowd with hits after hits during their eclectic performance, with such songs as “Everyone Falls In Love," “Say Whoee," "Suzie" and of course one of their new releases "Are you Ready" was a triumph, as the crowd was bumping and grinding during their rendition. King Yellow Man and Barrington Levy both added their Jamaican flavor and gave unforgettable performances as well.

The event itself was a success, helping to raise funds for The Queen Louise Home for Children; a Lutheran Social Services that has been around for over 100 years providing shelter and services to children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected.
